Golden Cosmos’s Graphic Storytelling
Golden Cosmos is the Berlin partnership of Doris Freigofas and Daniel Dolz, and their work has the flat, symbolic confidence of stage scenery. A silhouetted audience watches a stage where a white screen is dragged aside to reveal two versions of the world at once: a bright landscape of yellow sky and green trees on one side, a flooded ruin under a red sky on the other.
The composition does the arguing. The screen divides the picture exactly down the middle, and the naive, folk-art simplification keeps both halves legible at a glance — highly saturated, sharply contrasted, and generous with pattern.
