Michael Cina
Michael Cina‘s work runs in two directions here. One sheet is ink on paper: a dense knot of grey brush and black spatter, small in the middle of a large white field. The other is a dark canvas, near black, with green, blue and pale yellow light worked into it.
Form and medium change; the interest in traditional technique does not. Both pieces are made by hand and look it. The restraint is the point.
