Dear Montreal Illustration Series by Amélie Tourangeau
Amélie Tourangeau draws Montréal in vermilion, turquoise and a deep near-black green on cream, flat shapes with a heavy grain through them.
The first postcard has a cyclist swooping past a shop window, one arm thrown up to a ring in the glass, hair and cape streaming behind. A second figure on the steps photographs the moment, the same ring showing on the phone screen.
The second sits on a café terrace under a red-and-white striped awning: dark tables, a laptop, a wine glass, a glass of water, two espresso cups carried through.
