A Dire Evolutionary Timeline by ‘Blu’ on the Streets of Italy
Blu’s mural runs the full height of a building’s gable. A spiral coil turns from top to bottom with history stacked inside it: hunters with spears and bows on the upper yellow band, then elephants and other mammals, then dinosaurs, then fish and reptiles, ending at the base in a white circle that reads as a single cell.
Behind the coil the wall is blue above and red below. Scrolling along the top edge is a monochrome drawing of pyramids, a classical temple, factories and a city, with ruins falling away as debris.
Artist Blu runs the timeline downward, toward the start.
