Kim Holtermand

Two photographs by Kim Holtermand, both close to colourless. In the first a dark rock sits low in flat, hazy water, the horizon dissolving into the same grey as the sky. Nothing else is in frame.

The second is an empty diving platform on a pool deck, its ladders and railings fading into fog before any water is visible. The structure looks abandoned, or simply early.

Holtermand is a freelance architectural and landscape photographer from Denmark, and works as a fingerprints expert in Copenhagen when he is not photographing buildings. Kim Holtermand photographs empty places, and the emptiness does the work.
