Matthias Heiderich’s ‘Studio Eins’
The Berlin-based photographer Matthias Heiderich has updated his portfolio with a new series titled Studio Eins. Heiderich has long worked the seam between architecture and abstraction, finding colour and geometry in the built environment where most photographers find only documentation.
The discipline is in the cropping. His pictures look composed rather than taken, which is a considerably harder thing to achieve than it sounds.
