Peter Tarka

Peter Tarka builds type and geometry in 3D software, then lights the results like studio product shots. The Polish artist also works as Grate Studio, taking commissions from Honda, Adobe and Verizon while keeping room for self-initiated pieces.

One of those spells AURORA in white capitals across a gold wireframe antler form on a blue plinth, a thin blue ring circling the assembly, two glossy blue tubes printed with white triangles and circles reaching in from the sides.

The same interest in surface turns up in a neon typo poster: a single chunky letter on an off-white sheet, its counter filled with a dark teardrop, its curves packed with green and yellow spheres.
