Buckley’s Heroes Book Design by Transformer

Buckley’s Heroes is a book designed by Transformer, an Auckland studio founded in 2002 by Nigel and Anita Smith.

The studio keeps a tight, multi-disciplined team. Book design rewards that arrangement. A book is a long run of small decisions, and fewer hands keep them consistent from the first page to the last. There is no seam to hide behind when the team is small.
