Jacob’s Cave is a physics simulation. David Wicks wrote it after seeing helictite formations in a show cave in Missouri: mineral forms that grow downward, but also spiral upward when the pull of forces like capillary action beats gravity.
The simulation grows forms the same way. Gravity holds the drawing most of the time, and other forces push it upward into spirals. Wicks is an artist living in California. His work sits at David Wicks.
