Beyond Earth – Stephen Di Donato

Montreal designer Stephen Di Donato made a set of planetary posters, researched from NASA missions and styled after science-fiction magazines of the eighties.

The Earth sheet is headed “The Big Blue Marble”, the word EARTH set wide above a block of small type and a dark disc. Below it the planet is drawn in dot-screen texture, continents in green and tan, orbit lines swinging past the edges. The Saturn sheet sets a yellow ringed planet over a faint grid, with a small marked dot beside the rings.

Both keep to a cream ground, one illustration and one column of text. More at Stephen Di Donato.
