Maite Franchi
Fruit on white: an orange with a segment cut away, a lemon, two cherries on a stem, and leaves that turn blue against the peel. A slice and a wedge sit to the side. The colour is built from fine grain rather than flat fill.
The second is a kitchen scene over pale green. A yellow kettle, a croissant, a lemon, eggs, sliced bread, a muffin on a plate, jars, a paper bag printed MARKET, plants, and two cyclists along the bottom edge. Maite Franchi is a graphic designer and illustrator in Lyon. She has made editorial work for Sony, The Huffington Post and Vanity Fair, with a bold emphasis on texture. More is at Maite Franchi.
