‘The Dance of Angels who Burning Their Wings’ Theater Poster

This 1970 theatre poster — The Dance of Angels who Burning Their Wings — carries the credits of Kouga Hirano, Oyobe Katsuhito and Mitsuhiro Kushida, and the collaboration shows: the image has the unforced strangeness of stage work made by people who trusted the material.

Half a century on, it still looks like it was made this morning, which is the quiet test that most poster design fails.
