Today: Scott Thrift’s 24-Hour Clock
Instead of being a slave to the numbers on your clock, the designer Scott Thrift would like you to have a more peaceful relationship with your timepiece — one built on gradients and soothing colour rather than numerals. Today is a 24-hour clock that moves at half the speed of an ordinary one and marks times of day rather than counting them off.
It is a design object with an argument attached, and the argument is decent: most clocks measure time, and almost none of them help you feel it.
