We Print Nice Things Branding by Noemie Le Coz
Independent publishing lives or dies on how it presents itself, and We Print Nice Things arrives with an identity that treats a small press like a serious imprint. The designer behind it is Noemie Le Coz — an Australian graphic designer, illustrator and art director who has since settled in New York by way of Melbourne and a spell at Pentagram in Brooklyn.
Her solution for the boutique publishing house founded by Frankie Magazine’s Lou Bannister and Lara Burke is deliberately restrained: stationery, a wordmark and a web presence that let the covers do the talking. It is the quiet, confident kind of system a young press needs far more than a loud one — evidence that Le Coz understands the difference between decorating a publisher and branding one.
