Studio Brave: Branding for CNK Catering
The best caterers don’t just feed a room — they set its mood. When CNK Catering & Events decided to refresh a brand that had already earned real standing in Melbourne’s events scene, it wasn’t asking for a cosmetic touch-up: it wanted to be counted among the city’s leading caterers, and that meant repositioning the whole brand rather than simply polishing the logo.
Studio Brave’s answer was to hang the entire identity on three loaded words — “Creating memorable moments.” It’s a deceptively simple line that carries the weight of a full strategy, and every touchpoint bends toward it: the photography, the tone of voice, the print and the site.
The project was run in collaboration with hospitality marketing group Max Capacity, and its scope was comprehensive — a new photographic suite shot by Brent Parker Jones with food styling by Lee Blaylock, a confident new voice, corporate print collateral and a complete website. That is a lot to hold together, and it only works because the thinking underneath is as disciplined as the finish on top.
About Studio Brave
Studio Brave is a Melbourne branding and design studio founded in 2002 by Tim Sutherland. Its line, “building brands of influence,” isn’t filler — the name is a working philosophy. The studio is built on challenging convention and exceeding expectations through brave thinking, approach and execution, and you can read that conviction straight off this project: no hedging, no visual timidity, just a clear idea carried through with confidence.
