Playtype’s Pop-Up Show at ARAM, London
Playtype, the Copenhagen type foundry, took over ARAM in London with a pop-up show of posters, mugs and stationery — a rare chance to see Scandinavian typography as physical objects rather than specimen sheets.
That is the real value of a show like this. A typeface’s hardest test is what it does on paper, at size, in ink, and seeing a family of types applied across ceramics, print and notebooks is far more persuasive than any character map.
