Rivertown Lodge Branding by Ro&Co
Hudson, New York has spent the past decade trading its sleepy river-town reputation for something closer to a design destination, and Rivertown Lodge — a 27-room hotel on Warren Street with 1930s bones — sits right where that shift is most visible. Its identity, by the studio Ro&Co, is a big part of why the place feels the way it does.
Creative director Roanne Adams and her team had the good sense to skip the usual hotel clichés and lean into the landscape instead. The system is built from the textures of classic camping — tent canvas, speckled enamel dishware, patterns lifted straight from nature — anchored by a logotype that flexes across three interchangeable lock-ups. The studio sums the whole thing up as “crafted yet down-to-earth,” and that is exactly the register the property works in.
It’s branding that does its job quietly: it disappears into the place, so what you remember is the stay, not the signage.
